I follow Allure on Facebook, I post on their blog, I read their magazine, I like to be up on trends whether I choose to follow them or not... to those of you who know me personally, you know I usually choose "not" because I have my own things going on, but I still like to be in the know.  Anyway, I got an Allure Beauty e-mail, like I often do, directing me to their website to check out various articles.  I read about the latest nail polish and hair trends and I also saw a like to " The Naked Truth: Five Celebrities Go Nude for Allure ," which I thought, for some reason, was going to be one of those make-up free photo-shoots, which I love because I love to see what these famous people actually look like without all the makeup and photoshop! BUT I was mistaken. Well, last night I posted my review of Clear Total Care shampoo and conditioner and today I got a package from FedEx from Clear! Inside was a handwritten note stating that based on the feedback I provided (read review) they feel that Clear Moisturizing Dry Scalp shampoo and conditioner will be the best fit for me! They also provided me with a FULL SIZED shampoo and conditioner and a tip sheet with info on how to properly nourish your scalp! I'm SO excited to try this product and share what I find!  It is SO nice to see a company that actually cares about the feedback it receives and does something to try to change your opinion of their brand! Give me a week or so and I will post a review of these new Clear Moisturizing Dry Scalp products!!!

Image Source: Costco Costco is giving out another free sample of Dove Go Fresh Revive Deodorant ! They are the travel size (.5oz), so not bad, and they smell really nice! I really like this particular sample! And now you don't have to have a Costco ID to get them!!! It's very simple to claim your sample , first go here , then scroll down and click "get a sample" under the product details tab.  That will take you to the form that you need to fill out to get your sample! Easy- peasy!

Everywhere I look I see nail art! My friends post the latest mani-art from their trips to the nail salon on facebook, celebs post theirs in magazines, companies are mass producing and marketing expensive "nail art polishes" with small brushes that are supposed to be easier to make designs with, or "nail art pens" that you can draw decorations with.  The polishes are going for $8 - $14+ a piece and the pens the same, and the ones I tried were low quality polishes and the pens dried out very quickly!  Free handed "wild-side zebra stripes" in pure ICE platinum & electric! pure ICE platinum  tipped with electric! The Product So unless you've been hiding out under a rock with no internet or tv access, you've probably seen advertisements for Clear, the new line of shampoos and conditioners that claim we've all been going at hair care the wrong way, and that the most important component to beautiful hair is a nourished scalp.  On their website  and in their ads they claim that the "Nutrium 10" in their products "nourishes the scalp, creating the right foundation for strong, beautiful hair" which is supposedly noticeable after only 7 days of use.  Now if you really think about that it doesn't make any sense.  If the goal is to nourish the scalp so that it will in turn begin to produce healthy hair, how will your hair be healthy and have less breakage  after only 7 days ? My NY Yankees Fragrance Samples! There were some pluses and minuses with the NY Yankees  Fragrance samples  sent out.  Something I would consider a good thing was that they were not the samples with the little cloth inside (where the sample container is usually foil).  The reason this is good is because those type of samples never smell like  fragrance  to me, they just smell like rubbing alcohol. I have no idea why that is, my only conclusion is that alcohol has to be added for some reason with that type of sample process.   I would have, of course, loved a larger sample, for instance, the small vials that Dove body splash and Burberry Body have given out in the past, because then you have a chance to actually wear the fragrance for a few days and see if you like it.
