As I sit and type this post on my desktop computer, I wonder, is it just me or, in this fast paced world of smartphones and tablets, does it seem like desktops and laptops are almost extinct? Well... I guess they are around, but most just sit and collect dust, but can smartphones and tablets really replace computers and laptops? I obviously don't know the answer to that question, but by the looks of things, they sure are trying hard. Every other commercial on TV is for one tablet or another, so it doesn't take a genius to figure out that there are going to be a lot of tablets under a lot of trees this holiday season. But how do you pick the right tablet for that special person on your list? And can a tablet be a touching and personal gift? When shopping for a tablet there are a lot of little things to think about. How much you want to spend? Android, Windows, or Apple? How much memory space do you need? Is the device's memory expandable? Will you be able to get the apps you want? Is this the right tablet for your uses? What size should you get? Do you need a keyboard? And the deeper you go into the rabbit hole, the more questions you will find yourself asking... or at least I have.  Which is why I'm putting everything I've learned on my tablet buying adventure into these posts on how to find the RIGHT tablet for you! Time to start marking things off your Christmas shopping list!
