Update on Things in My Part of the World!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to check in! I'm sorry I've been MIA from the blog/ FB the past few days but I've been trying to rally the troops here in Oklahoma to get donations into the hands of the people who have been impacted by the Oklahoma wildfires.

As you can imagine, there was quite a deal of confusion at first, with new fires popping up all over the state. People were not sure who was in need of donations, what they needed, or where to drop them off, however thanks to many grassroots pages and groups that popped up on facebook and twitter, we were able to get people organized rather quickly, and now things are starting to run much more smoothly.

Donations of all types are still needed, for both firefighters and those who lost their homes, but at least now the information is being organized and disseminated in an appropriate manner!

I am fine, my family is all okay.  But many of my friends and neighbors lost everything! My community was hit hard, we lost over 100 homes, and that was just one of the many fires.  Any donations would be greatly appreciated as these people lost everything. There are two great google spreadsheets that have updated info for donation drop off locations, what items are needed, where to send checks, etc.  They are GoogleDoc1 and GoogleDoc2.

If you want to keep up with what's going on with the fires in Oklahoma you can follow the facebook page I made for donation information, Oklahoma Wildfire Donation Drive, or one of these great pages that have tons of info: Oklahoma Wildfire Info or Oklahoma Wildfires. Prayers to all the Fire Fighters & Fire Survivors.

I should be back to my regular posts soon! So, don't worry, I didn't forget about all those giveaways I promised you!!!  <3

Aspira Pura - Pure Joy Bottled

I had the great joy of randomly bumping into this company on Instagram, where they offered to send me a few free bottles of their water to see how I liked it.  I must say I absolutely love it, it's like pure joy bottled!  Aspira Pura is an amazingly crisp water that I just couldn't get enough of. Which is most likely due to the reverse osmosis process that adds the minerals and electrolytes, which regular purified water doesn't have, including Calcium Chloride, Potassium Bicarbonate, and Magnesium Chloride.  Another great feature of Aspira Pura is the bottles, which are BPA free. I've found through trial and error that this means that even when they are shipped in the heat your water won't get that plastic taste... if you drink cheap Wal-mart water you know what I'm talking about.  Depending where you look, this water will run you about the same price / mL as Icelandic Glacial or LIFEWTR, but that's because you're getting the same great minerals, electr...

LIFE WTR... another reverse osmosis purified water with added electrolytes...

Life wtr is another reverse osmosis purified water with added electrolytes that has nearly the same price tag as natural mineral water...  Why is this? The art installations on the bottles are vibrant, making it stand out on shelves. But what makes it cost so much? It does taste amazing, nearly as crisp and delicious as my favorite water so far, Icelandic Glacial. So, maybe there's something to this reverse osmosis vs. whatever they do to purify the cheap Wal-mart water?!
