GREEN Product of the Week: Method Antibac, antibacterial kitchen cleaner

If you didn't catch my FIRST *Green Product of the Week* Review (read it here), then you probably don't know how I came into this Green cleaning know-how, so I'll share the story with you again.  A few years ago my friend and I started an eco-friendly cleaning company called Clean  & Green LLC because we had caught wind of all the indoor pollution facts (check out first Green Review).  Due to various reasons (check out the "My Health" section on my About Megan page) Clean  & Green LLC was a short lived venture, however prior to opening we tested tons of eco- friendly cleaning methods and products, so I have plenty of great Green secrets to share with all of you!

My Experience

Method Antibac - Eco-Friendly Antibacterial Kitchen Cleaner in Orange Zest
This week's *Green Product of the Week* is one of my absolute everyday favorites! Method Antibac, antibacterial kitchen cleaner in orange zest scent, is a great kitchen cleaner for everyday messes! I also find it works great in the bathroom on stubborn grout lines and makes annoying baseboards a snap to clean! Plus, it's great on trashcans and on the wall around the trashcan (which the kids constantly mistake for a backboard) and for the fridge and really just anything you can think of to spray this stuff on!!!

The smell is a little strong, my daughter doesn't like it, but I think it smells nice! I LOVE Method products! You can find a ton of Method products at Target! They have everything from eco-friendly hand soap to Antibac! I bought this particular product at the Super Target in Norman, Oklahoma. It runs about $2.99 and is 28 fl oz.

What I've Learned

The active ingredient is thymol, which is an antimicrobial that's use dates back to ancient Egypt (thank you wiki ;). Method Antibac "kills 99.9% of household germs including influenza A, rhinovirus (type 37, the common cold virus), staphylococcus aureus, salmonella enterica, and E. coli on hard, non-porous surfaces." (taken directly from product packaging!)

Method Antibac can be used to clean, disinfect, and/ or sanitize surfaces throughout your kitchen (and bathroom if you like to change it up ;)  To clean you just spray surface with Antibac and wipe with cloth of your choice.  To disinfect, you spray surface with Antibac, let set for 10 minutes, walk away and let air dry... no need for rinsing or wiping! And finally to sanitize, you spray surface with Antibac, let sit for 30 seconds, allow to air dry and walk away... again, no rinsing or wiping required! Doesn't get better than that!

Aspira Pura - Pure Joy Bottled

I had the great joy of randomly bumping into this company on Instagram, where they offered to send me a few free bottles of their water to see how I liked it.  I must say I absolutely love it, it's like pure joy bottled!  Aspira Pura is an amazingly crisp water that I just couldn't get enough of. Which is most likely due to the reverse osmosis process that adds the minerals and electrolytes, which regular purified water doesn't have, including Calcium Chloride, Potassium Bicarbonate, and Magnesium Chloride.  Another great feature of Aspira Pura is the bottles, which are BPA free. I've found through trial and error that this means that even when they are shipped in the heat your water won't get that plastic taste... if you drink cheap Wal-mart water you know what I'm talking about.  Depending where you look, this water will run you about the same price / mL as Icelandic Glacial or LIFEWTR, but that's because you're getting the same great minerals, electr...

VigLink - for my bloggers!

VigLink is a way for blogs to make money, especially when google is messing up your AdSense (like they're doing to me for some reason). From what I understand they create hyperlinks on thing within your blog that you have talked about, but may not have thought to link to the company's site, because maybe they weren't your main focus. Then they give you $ for the traffic that those links (and some that you have already made) get.  In 2015 I made over $700 with VigLink, mainly due to a few of my Christmas shopping posts.  So they are totally legit! And you can make way more money than with AdSense (or at least I have in the past). Plus you can use both at the same time, so you can earn money from VigLink's links and from the ads that AdSense puts up. Win - Win!
